Traci Marchetta (Owner, Choreographer, Instructor)

traci marchetta

Traci started dancing lessons at the age of 2. Her love for dance has been her encouragement to continue learning, performing, and teaching throughout her life.  She continued to take dance lessons, and at one point in her life Traci was on 2 competition teams at 2 different dance studios simultaneously. Traci competed in many regional and national dance competitions including Dance Olympus National Finals in Kansas City, Kansas. She also had the opportunity to dance in many carnival balls and fairs including the 1984 Worlds Fair held in New Orleans. In 1991, Traci completed both an oral and written exam to graduate and complete her formal education in dance.  In 1992, she auditioned for the New Orleans Saintsations, where she was selected from a group of over 300 applicants. Traci continued to earn a place on the 40 member Saintsations Dance Team for the next 8 years. During that time, she appeared in a Sound Track dance commercial, Bryan Mitsubishi Saintsations dance commercial and a dance video for R.C. Cola. There is also a scene in the movie, "Saintly Switch", where Traci is shown showing her many dance moves and techniques. Traci danced in the 1993 American Bowl held in Tokyo Japan.  She was asked to return to Japan in 1999 as an individual to represent the New Orleans Saintsations, and perform with one other cheerleader chosen from all of the other NFL Teams. She had to turn down this terrific opportunity due to her love and devotion to her dance studio, which opened in 1997.  Traci also traveled to Memphis, TN, with 3 other Saintsations to represent the New Orleans Saints for an Amtrak Trains promotion. She performed alongside the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders in a Saints vs. Cowboys scrimmage held in Shreveport, LA. Traci retired from the Saintsations in 2000 to dedicate more time to her dance studio.

Traci's students have shown their talent in the studios beautiful recitals, parades, competitions, fairs, and have had the opportunity to dance in Disney World and on Carnival Cruise Lines.  Traci has won outstanding choreography awards for showbiz National Talent Dance Competitions and received the Top Choreography Awards for the Kids Artistic Revue National Dance Competitions.  She is very proud of the PADC Marching Group having won 1st Place overall 3 years in a row and 1st place runner up in 2014 for the the Krewe Du Monde Parade.

John Hymel (Acro / Gymnastics Instructor)

chelsea hayes

Years ago, as a young kid, I attended Children's Gymnastics. I then started competing in gymnastic meets across Louisiana. I placed 1st in most events & became too advanced for their level of training. I was immediately referred to Zee's Gymnastics in LaPlace where the training was more advanced. I worked my way up to class 3 optional in less than 2 years. This level required me to create most of my own routines in competition. I stayed competing for a few more years and placed 9th (All around) Louisiana State, meaning 6 events combined. I even had the honor of meeting with Bella Caroli who trained Nadia Comaneci, Mary Lou Retton, Dominique Moceanu to name a few. I was learning Russian techniques before a bad ankle sprain took me out of competition for a while. I was getting older & interested in other sports. I then stopped competitive Gymnastics. Started many other sports after healing up. I joined the U.S. Army at the age of 20 and still maintained all my gym skills. I was training other soldiers standing back flip along my tour. I've always practiced to maintain my skill level. The past few years, I've been coaching Basketball & Football for young kids in Norco. Recently I've been involved in training Cheerleaders in stunts and basic tumbling. I can proudly say that I helped many girls get prepared for cheer try outs at Harry Hurst Middle School. I still work with cheerleaders and specialize in trampoline and tumbling skills.
